Mitzvah Month Projects

Our Day of Volunteering: Sunday, November 15th,  will be filled with activities for the entire family. We will begin at 1 PM and two, 2-hour shifts for volunteers will be available.  At 5pm we will end our day at the NorthEast Jewish Community Campus with a celebration of our good works - thank you's, photos of the day, games, a raffle and PIZZA. 

Below is a list of the volunteer activities (click here to sign-up): 

1.  Donate a gift to the Jewish Family Services Holiday gift program Toys for Children, Gifts for seniors/adopt a Family
2.  Enjoy Game Day with Wexner Heritage Village Residents
3.  Outdoor Fall Clean-up with the Friends of Alum Creek Tributaries (FACT) behind the JCC (click here for more)
4.  Create Activity Kits (Project Sunshine) for Nationwide children’s Hospital Patients at 1 of 3 Locations: North, NE and East.
5.  Knitting Squares for Afghans at Creekside
6.  Craft Activity with Residents at YWCA Family Center
7.  Organize Donations at YWCA Family Center
8.  Organize Library at Northeast Jewish Community Campus
9.  Hands on Organizing, Cleaning, etc of Building/Facility at Lifetown
10. Create Surgi Dolls for Nationwide Children’s Hospital Patients at 1 of 3 Locations: North, NE and East.
11. Create Thanksgiving Food Baskets at JCC North (on November 22)
12. Cooking Kosher Meals for Families
13. Reorganize Jewish Teacher Resource Center at the Federation
14. Care Packages for Jewish US soldiers
15. Training Session for Love Shouldn't Hurt
16. Help Columbus Torah Academy Sharing Garden Grow
